Shallow (Lyrics)

Verse 1:

As I take a look all arround me
questions passing by through my head.

I begin to quietly wonder
when did life become so shallow?

Unloving parents, broken dreams, unhappy people dead inside.
Money and looks are becoming our goals and we confuse having sex with being loved.

Verse 2:

Teachers tell you to study harder
making you believe you're your grades.

Simple minded friends don't get you.
When you think for yourself you feel alone.

Time's passing by, we're growing old but we're not becoming more mature.
Preprogramming our children to obey they won't ever be free to choose their fate.

Chorus:

Don't you see? World's too cold now. Can you still feel the beat of your heart?

Don't you see? There's no future for the ones who forget how to love.

We might never meet, but I tell you now,
no matter what you do, don't let them break you! Never!

SOLO

"I think sometimes the most profound solitude begins to grow slowly over time when you start making contacts rather than friends".
